There are no visas or border formalities to enter Monaco from France. You do not need a passport to enter Monaco from France.

The official language of Monaco is French although there is a native language, Monegasque, which appears on some street signs. English is widely spoken.

There are only about 5000 Monégasques but another 30,000 or so residents.
