This float, designed by Cedric Pignataro is captioned "Carnival's new hunting-ground: tired of the seafront and awaiting a hypothetical return of Apollo's statue to Janus' fountain, Carnivalon reclaims its throne". It's kind of an in-joke but the red eagle is the symbol of Nice.
